Installation of Accumulation Project

I began by going over to my friends apartment where the beer caps were being collected.

not knowing the exact number of beer caps we had collected, I went and bought 11 packs of 50 magnets, a hot glue gun and glue sticks to start installing them onto the refrigerator.

Overall it took me two days to completely glue the magnets and design them on the fridge, the two problems I ran into was that the hot glue did not hold as well as I would have hoped and so I had to buy some tacky glue to ensure that they would not fall off again. The second problem was knowing exactly how many of the different brews I would have to design by since I was counting as I was designing.  At the end, we had accumulated 538 beer caps and around 54 different brews.

Concepts "Place"

A space that I always find interesting is window sills. I think its neat to see what people decide to put in their window sills, or for those that are lucky enough they are large enough to sit on. My favorite window sill is on the 6th Floor of the Atkins Library. That floor pays homage to tons of artists, designers and I can only image other interesting information. What disappoints me is the plainness of the area that has such neat information and I felt that there needed to be something there to show what this area had to offer.

I decided to treat this area with work by Andy Warhol because on occasion I would go up and sit in the window will and read his diary and other books about him.
